Well, take my name for example. Because nobody speaks arabic around the parts I live, I have become Salem, Sale, even Szalay. And whenever you hear some news about somebody named Salih, Saleh, Salah … even Selah (which is quite different name, I agree), I wonder, whether someone in my remote and extended family got into trouble

Another example of why PHP, despite 16 years of development, is still not ready for prime time. These sorts of issues do not come up in perl, ruby, python…
